Day 1: Arrival in Port Blair – Cellular Jail + Corbyn’s Cove Beach + Light & Sound Show
Upon your arrival at Port Blair airport, our representative will greet you and accompany you to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to relax and freshen up after your journey. Once you’re ready, your exploration of Port Blair begins:
Cellular Jail: Your first stop is the historic Cellular Jail, also known as “Kala Pani.” This colonial-era prison holds significant historical importance in India’s struggle for independence
Corbyn’s Cove Beach: After visiting Cellular Jail, head to Corbyn’s Cove Beach for some relaxation and leisure time. This serene beach, surrounded by lush green coconut palms, offers a picturesque setting for unwinding and enjoying the coastal beauty.
Light & Sound Show: In the evening, witness the captivating Light & Sound Show at Cellular Jail. This multimedia spectacle narrates the poignant history of the Andaman Islands and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
After a fulfilling day of exploration, return to your hotel in Port Blair for dinner and overnight stay, preparing for more adventures awaiting you on Day 2.
Day 2: Ross Island (NSCB Dweep) and North Bay (Coral Island)
After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a memorable journey to explore two fascinating destinations in the Andaman archipelago:
Ross Island (NSCB Dweep): Begin your day with a visit to Ross Island, also known as “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island” (NSCB Dweep). Explore the remnants of British colonial architecture and enjoy scenic views.
North Bay (Coral Island): Next, proceed to North Bay, commonly referred to as the “Coral Island.” Known for its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, North Bay offers excellent opportunities for underwater exploration.
After an exhilarating day of island hopping and marine adventures, return to Port Blair in the evening and retire to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day – 3: City Tour – Chidiyatapu
Samudrika Marine Museum: Begin your day at the Samudrika Marine Museum in Port Blair, a must-visit for marine life enthusiasts. The museum boasts an impressive collection of over 350 marine species, including clownfish, banned clam shells, various corals, and even a complete blue whale skeleton.
Operating Hours: Open daily except Mondays and national holidays, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Anthropological Museum: Next, head to the Anthropological Museum, which offers a deep dive into the cultural and social history of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The museum showcases the lifestyle, traditions, and artifacts of indigenous tribes such as the Jarawas, Shompens, Onges, Nicobarese, and Sentinelese. Exhibits include sculptures, murals, and photographs that provide valuable insights into the tribal life.
Operating Hours: Open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
Chatham Saw Mill (Forest Museum): After exploring the Anthropological Museum, visit the Chatham Saw Mill, Asia’s oldest sawmill. Located on a small island connected to Port Blair by a bridge, the sawmill is complemented by a forest museum. The museum showcases the region’s forest activities through scale models and displays decorative pieces made from various types of wood, including Padauk, Marble, Peauma, Gurjan, and Satin Wood.
Visit Chidiyatapu: Chidiyatapu is known for its lush green mangroves, forest cover, and pristine beaches. It’s a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers. Stay until sunset to witness the spectacular views. The sunset at Chidiyatapu is often described as one of the most beautiful sights in the Andaman Islands.
After sunset, drive back to your hotel in Port Blair.
Day 4: Departure from Port Blair
Check out from the hotel and head to the airport for your journey back home, with memories of the mesmerizing Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
